Thanks to unique technologies, the option to combine open- die and closed-die forging, third-party certifications and in-house activities, including heat treatment, die production, non-destructive testing, and machining, CPF offers its current and potential customers a complete range of services for the most demanding types of forgings. CPF produces not only forgings from carbon and highly alloyed steels, stainless steels, alloys of aluminum and copper, but also even from special materials such as Titanium or Nimonic.
On unique BECHE 40 and BECHE 35 counter-blow drop hammers CPF forges precision components with minimal forging allowances up to the unit weight of 900 Kg. Large closed-die forgings are suitable for customers with higher annual quantities or projects, such as connecting rods for large four stroke diesel engines, blades for steam and gas turbines and compressors, wheels for gear boxes, crankshafts for compressors and pumps, valve bodies, rotary poles and many other types of forgings.
On 40MN and 25MN spindle-hydraulic presses, equipped with induction heating, CPF produces forgings with minimal forging allowances, in the weight range from 5Kg to 50Kg. Small closed-die forgings are ideal for periodic repeating or project based quantities, with the advantage is high productivity, accuracy of forging, and minimal final machining.
On 3 hydraulic 8MN presses CPF produces the forgings up to a weight of 4000 Kg. This forging method is convenient for customers with customized needs ranging from one-off forgings or smaller series, where with regard to the smaller volumes large closed-die tooling costs would be prohibitive. The typical representatives are for example large crankshafts for reciprocating compressors, rings and discs, gear wheels, pinions, blocks and many others.
