Small closed- die forging

Forgings produced on LVH 4000 and LVH 2500 spindle-hydraulic presses which are arranged independent work cells together with induction heating, trimming presses, die heating, and de-scaling equipment.

On this set of presses CPF forges to a unit weight from 5 to 50 Kg in construction steels, highly alloyed steels, alloys of aluminium and copper, stainless steel, and special materials such as Titanium and Nimonic. The portfolio forgings ranges from simple shapes, such as wheels for gear boxes to highly sophisticated shapes of circulating blades for steam and gas turbines, crankshafts for pumps, and aluminum forgings for turbochargers.

Weight categories of small closed-die forgings

Material Weight
Steel 10 – 50 kg/ ea
Al – alloys 3 – 15 kg/ ea
Cu – alloys 10 – 50 kg/ ea

Small closed- die forging guarantees exact forgings with minimum forging allowances to final shape, and multiple forging ration. The advantage of CPF is own construction and production of necessary forging tools, which comes from the original design documentation of the customer.

This way of forging is suitable for customers with bigger projected or periodic series, and with the request for maximum accuracy and minimum need of final machining.
